Basic English: At the Manish Chaturvedi Teaching Academy, our Basic English program begins by introducing young learners to the fundamentals of the language, starting with the alphabet and basic phonics. We progressively build on this foundation, introducing simple words and basic sentence structures. Our approach recognizes the unique challenge in our region where English education at an early age is rare. Through interactive storytelling, songs, and playful group activities, we aim to foster communication skills that will serve as a cornerstone for future academic success and open doors to global opportunities. We ensure that learning English is not only educational but also engaging and fun, encouraging students to express themselves confidently.
Extracurricular Activities
Sports and Games: Physical activity is encouraged through structured sports and free play, emphasizing teamwork, physical health, and sportsmanship. From traditional games to structured sports, students learn to enjoy exercise and develop motor skills. We encourage sports and outdoor activities, ensuring that our students not only learn but also have fun and look forward to each new school day.
Arts and Crafts: Creative expression is fostered through drawing, painting, and crafting, helping students develop fine motor skills and express their thoughts and feelings through art.
Future Initiatives
Technology Integration: Understanding the pivotal role of technology in today’s world, we are planning to introduce computers in the next school year. This initiative will give our students hands-on experience with technology, which is otherwise nearly impossible to access in our area. The introduction of computers and basic digital literacy skills will prepare our students for the increasingly digital world they will grow up in.
Environmental Awareness: We integrate environmental education with practical, hands-on activities that connect children with the world around them. Gardening projects allow students to understand plant life cycles and the importance of biodiversity, while nature walks encourage observational skills and a deeper appreciation for local ecosystems. Regular hikes and outdoor explorations are structured to help students observe and appreciate the diverse flora and fauna of our region, teaching them the values of conservation and respect for nature. These experiences are designed to instill a lifelong appreciation for the environment, emphasizing that living in harmony with our surroundings is crucial for the future of our planet.
Basic Math: Recognizing the importance of early numeracy skills, our program covers fundamental math concepts including numbers, counting, basic shapes, and simple arithmetic like addition and subtraction. Lessons are delivered through interactive methods such as manipulatives, puzzles, and games that help children understand mathematical concepts in a tangible and memorable way. This approach not only makes math accessible but also helps to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Cultural and Religious Studies: At Manish Chaturvedi Teaching Academy, our curriculum deeply respects and incorporates the rich cultural and religious heritage of Ranchi, predominantly centered around Hinduism. We introduce our students to its fundamental tenets, practices, and major festivals through storytelling, participation in cultural events, and visual arts that reflect regional themes. These activities not only help students connect with their local heritage but also foster a sense of pride and understanding of the traditions that shape their community, all while promoting an inclusive environment that respects the diversity within our community.
